In 1986, 1942 was released on the NES by Capcom, one of the best video game developers/publishers ever. The first of many releases on the NES was okay, but not great. It has an average story, good gameplay, HORRIBLE music, and a crappy ending. Fortunately, Capcom did better on their future releases.

| I have always loved this game. I have never really played it on the NES but I have played it on the arcade. Sure the ending is pretty lame, but it's the game that counts. Capcom sure did a great job on this game. |

Yes it is the old world war times. This game is repetitive but even cool and challenging. Yes it this long game and maybe boring, but it's still a classic.
my rate 5/10 |

| What a Shitty Ending!!! |

| After 3 hours of playing this game, I finally beat it. When I got to the end, it said "Congratulation." What the hell is that? They didn't even put an "s" on the word. All that trouble, and they misspell the final message?!? I'll give it a 4 out of 5 since the game's pretty good overall. It might even get a 5 if the ending wasn't so shitty!!!!! |

Old School at it's finest. However, I suggest you Stick to Arcade Emulation if you wanna knock old school games like this one. Remeber, you can only do som much on an 8-bit system, at least at the time.
5 out of 10 |

Okay, this is one of the first games released by Capcom for the NES, so you can probably already make a judgment as far as the overall quality goes.
You play a WWII ace basically flying against, well, everyone!
It's an alright shooter, but the graphics/sound REALLY SUCK. We're talking not much better than Atari 2600... Anyway, it's a classic and takes about .263 secs to download, so try it out. 2/5 |
