Found Earthbound

In SNES

I found Earthbound on EBay.com today, Buy it Now for $50 US. Luckily, I had about $61 left on a gift certificate so I'm quite happy to say I've ordered it and it should arrive in a week or so. I was surprised that it sold for so little because people try to milk a lot of money out of it generally, since it is a great game and all.

Has anyone else found any awesome deals on anything l8ly?

ummmm... can you give us a link to that auction... you may have gotten screwed over.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just noticed this was the SNES forum

50$ is a little over the average price, unless its gone up??

Awsome game though, if I didn't have it I'd probably go for it!

Wow, looks like it has gone up. I've bought some pricey SNES Games in recent years (chrono trigger, earthbound, harvest moon), but whenever I did, I always told myself that I would have paid more back when the games were released.

Earthbound has become my favorite SNES game, even beating great games like Zelda, chrono, and super Metroid. I think it was a combination of the cartoony graphics along with the music and the great story. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the plain backgrounds for battles, but even that complaint wore off after a bit of play for me.

The link is . It seems legit to me, I mean the price isn't THAT low.

I think Earthbound's graphical simplicity is one of its best features, it fits the style of the story.

Holy crap man, 10 bucks shipping to canada? 60$ is steep, for a cart only earthbound...

at least its clean looking.

It's not that bad, compared to some other auctions though. It's one of those things you do once anyway, lol. Half.com usually has it for like 70 US, so there's worse I guess.

Luckily I already have Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger, some of the painfully expensive games are covered.

Earthbound seems to usually cost more than CT for some reason, I think it's due to obsucrity and probably the number of copies made was lower.

Nope, just due to popularity, same as the others!

Cool, I guess I was wrong again.... I have a knack for that.

Nah, I would think the same thing, but honestly you'll notice alot of people have it...

Try to find the guide though, and the box, then the price for the game triples! You'll notice a trend with the popular titles, with depth seem to cost alot, super Metroid, Final Fantasys (you know we all have them.. but look at the price!)

Yeah, it's hard to keep things in good shape when you're a dumb kid. I had Sega Genesis as a kid, and everything I got was already used so I never really was able to get into the real collecting. I loved that system though.
