i can't get a saturn emulator to work!!

In Other Classic Systems

i've tried a lot of saturn emus and none of them work for some reason. i got closest with cassini and i'm still trying to get it to work, but with no avail. i've got the bios for all 3 regions from

Saturn emulation is still pretty poor: To the point that I went out and bought a Saturn off Ebay in order to play Nocturne In The Moonlight.

Yes, Saturns go mega cheap, you could likely pick one up for $20, and then you could just play "back-ups" using the swap trick. I really need to find the RAM expansion cart so I can play Metal Slug.

Not sure I'd advise the swap-trick. Apparently, sooner or later it'll kill the Saturn. You're better off with a combination convertor/memory expansion, and getting it properly modded if you want to play back-ups.

Saturn prices won't stay low if demand starts to outstrip the supply because of people totalling them

I was swapping a few dozen times a day a few weeks back, and I didn't see any sign of impending doom, though I have heard that it kills it eventually. I'll let you know if mine ever dies when I unpack it after I move.

I think it's going to take a lot more than a few people swapping to run the supply even close to low. There were millions of the things sold.

Obviously a proper mod chip is better, but if you have a model 1 Saturn, as I do, you're kinda stuck swapping...

Model 1 = Oval buttons

Model 2 = Round buttons

Yeah, you're probably right, but I hate seeing hardware damaged, especially when it's avoidable. hmm, looks like I've got a model 1 as well, with a so I can play Japanese games. I've never used it to play backups though, probably because there's not a lot of software for it that appeals to me. Though I'm beginning to think I might like the Keio's Flying Squadron 2 and Assault Suits Leynos 2 (a game that I did not know existed 'till last night!)

Man where I live I can find tons of saturn games just no saturn system
