They sell lots of books now here and in Japan Sudoku came out for the PSP.
I don't know about the US, but it's pretty popular in the UK. Most of the newspapers carry a few grids in them.

If you don't like to spend the money just tell your family your a Jehova's Witness... they don't celebrate xmas, and they cannot give xmas presents but they can recieve presents (it's good manners to accept the present).

I don't know anything about game cd's (so nobody jump on my back and start being a jerk about it) but can they be fixed by bringing them to those places that can "sand" your DVD's and Music CD's scratches out (it usually costs about $3)? It's the only thing I can think of.....

Yeah, Christmas vacation is the best. My favorite part, of course, is when the cat got fried.
Haven't heard about CD sanding, sounds like it would hurt the disk. But still, I don't want to return it. When I run the CD, the PS2 logo comes up, but nothing else ever appears.
It's not sanding... and it won't hurt the disk, it'll repair it. And in most cases it's like new afterwards. Japanese gameshops do this to most of their used discs before selling them again.

i went to Texas to visit some of my family.
my grandparents gave me: $50, a pair of pants, socks, undies , a fishing pole/tackle box combo thing, flannel sleep pants, a cd case that holds 128 cds, airheads dvd, stocking stuffer stuff (candy, gum, shaving stuff, slim jims!)
my aunt gave me: $100, a portable cd player, and a ride up to Texas
my other aunt gave me: $35
my dad gave me: $500
from my cousins i got: Hooray for Boobies (Bloodhound Gang cd), and
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 on dvd
my other aunt and uncle gave me: $20, and 5 lottery tickets, the first one i scratched off was a $20 winner and i got 2 other $1 winners
my sister gave me:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Volume 3, original cartoon dvd, has 12 episodes
my mom and other grandma gave me: nothing, but that's ok, i didn't get them anything either
all together i had a really good Christmas, i got to spend time with my family and got some sweet gifts.
