Is it possible to burn a flash movie from the internet?

In Off-topic

Hi, there! I wonder if anyone knows if it's possible to burn a flash clip/movie on a CD. Is it possible, then how? If you don't quite understand me yet, then let me put it this way, if you watch a clip on newgrounds for example, and you really like it, and you would want to burn it on a CD, then is it possible?

Are you just using it to store it? or play it on a dvd player? and i don't know if newgrounds lets you download it, cause thats what you would need to do. They probably just stream it.

I meant to play it on my dvd-player, but no, maybe you're right. They'll probably not allow it...

if they allowed you to download it, save it to your computer, go on your cd burning program, select make VCD and drag the files you want on it.

To get the .swf, try viewing the source of the page. Find where the .swf is located and stick that url in your browser bar. Then all you have to do is save it from your File menu. Burn it like you would a data disc, I suppose

Yeah you can use FlashSaver to rip .swf's. Its a shareware program. All you do is copy paste the link of the page its on and it will detect all flashes on that page.

There are a number of that will let you convert SWF files to an AVI video. This only really works if the SWF is just a linear animation (as all interactive flashes lose their "interactivity", obviously).

Once they're in AVI or other similiar video format, you can do whatever you want with them. If you want them on DVD, they will need to be encoded with some kind of DVD making program.
There's plenty of those too.

I think that might work, because you see, it's not possible to download the flash movie(s)...You can only watch it on the net.

You can download it as long as you can find the .swf file. If you have Firefox, I think it allows you to view some source info for the site you're viewing. You may be able to get it from there. Once you have the .swf file, just convert it to avi and burn it to disk.

Yeah! That's the program I've been looking for, but I couldn't remember the name "firefox"! Can you tell me where I can get it?

And please, please, don't ever use IE again. This is way better. My search engine bar has helped majorly speed up my internet experience. Gamefaqs on that thing is a must for any true gamer. Oh yea, it lets you download SWF files too...

Thanks a lot, man!

Yes, use Firefox always Thanks for the tip!
