Pulp Fiction

In Off-topic

I just decided that there out to be a thread about one of the greatest if not greatest movie of all time. So write what you will. I'll start it off though. What's in the suitcase? Well I've read that Marcellus Wallice's soul is contained in the suitcase, ie: he has a band-aid on the back of his neck, the suitcase com is 666, "divine intervention" while holding the suitcase, all the bible references, and something beautiful is inside the suitcase (the most beautiful thing is a soul) YAY Pulp Fiction

Director Quentin Tarrantino says "It what the audience wants it to be"

but I wonder how someone like him came across such an obscure soundtrack? I groove to it like, every day.

Yah man that soundtrack kicks... and yah I know what tarentino said and thats probably true but check out the article on the meaning on snopes.com (not sure of an exact link) but reading that made me enjoy the movie even more.

I used to listen to the soundtrack every day when I was a teenager. My favorite tracks are...
Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon - Urge Overkill
Lonesome Town - Ricky Nelson
Son Of A Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield

Reservoir Dogs was Super Cool too (plus a killer soundtrack as well). Who doesn't love "Stuck in the Middle With You" by Stealers Wheel??

Tarentino is a god! I love all of his films except Jacky Brown, never got really into it and I didnt bother watching the end.

Frankly... I don't like Pulp Fiction. I bought the video back then because it was cheap (about 3$ or so new) and everybody hyped it. I was a bit disappointed after watching it. People's tastes are different...

One of these days, I really need to sit down and watch this movie.

Very great movie. Its up there with my top 10 list of favorite movies. And i hardly ever watch movies but this one really caught my attention.

I liked it. I'd say it is Tarantino's best film. I wasn't overly keen on Reservoir Dogs.

What about
From Dusk Till Dawn (he wrote the screenplay) and Natural Born Killers (he wrote the story for it)? These are awsome Tarantino flicks. Who could forget Salma Hayek when she comes out with that wicked ass snake! Or when Juliette Lewis so goes postal in the resterant and yells "How Sexy am I now?".

It's quite good but I feel that it has also been overhyped. I do own it on DVD.

I thought From Dusk Till Dawn was pretty decent. I had no idea what it was about when I rented it, just that Tarentino wrote it. Imagine how surprized I was when the first half of the movie was vampireless and then how abrupt it all happens, but I was surprized in a good way.

I thought Natural Born Killers was pretty average. It was just hyped because of how controversial it was. I liked From Dusk till Dawn but that's mainly because I found it hilarious how it was a serious gangster/crime film until half way through when it suddenly changed into a vampire movie. Like the jake o project I had no idea that was going to happen. I think I just laughed my way through the final hour.

As for his other films, I know I saw Jackie Brown but I can't remeber anything about it so it can't have left that much of an impression on me! I saw Kill Bill vol 1&2 back to back a few months ago and would definitely like to see them again.
