What do you do outside of gaming?

In Off-topic

... as far as your job, hobbies, schooling. How much time you actually have to sit back and defeat a game?

my schooling has been on a break for a long while, and I haven't worked since the summer, my hobbie mostly relate to the video gaming, so I have lots of time to play

As far as I go, I go to school full time. I'm also a student worker, which means my work schedule gets worked around my school schedule, so that's nice. Other than that, I like to play games, play with my sons Ninja Turtles toys (with him there, of course!), jam on my bass, and have a few beers every now and then. Pretty boring, most of the time.

are those the cool, old ninja turtles toys? or the lame new ones where the solve puzzles and don't kick ass?

Actually, the new ones. After you get used to them, though, they're not really that lame. I even get the new song stuck in my head sometimes. But I have managed to get two of the older toys in my sons hands. My friend gave him Splinter from the Turtles Movie, and I found Krang's body at a funeral home in the toys they had for kids. I asked the director if I could purchase it from them, but they said just keep it! Nice, huh? We just bought him the sewer lair for Christmas, so I .... ahem, I mean, he should have lots of fun with it!

I was the biggest Ninja Turtles fan ever, back in the day... then fun was outlawed...

I'm a software engineer, working full-time, plus lots of Contracts and ventures on the side under my own business( Hopefully someday my side-work will be enough to support me and I'll be able to quit my dayjob and therefore move my own business to dayjob hours, and have my evenings and weekends back...

My hobbies are primarily video gaming, yardwork, cooking, etc.

As for schooling, I did a semester in community college, but dropped that after I found it wasn't very useful(3.97gpa). I've worked fulltime+ since, and done quite well...

Yes! I love to cook! My best meal is Italian Beef! I would put my Italian Beef against anyone's anyday!

I produce electro,chill,girlfriend,work.

I cosplay. That's my biggest passion/hobby as of right now, even more so than playing Nintendo. I also work, but at least I work at home so I can do my own things while I work. I’m currently in college, too, so I have quite the busy, 'productive' life going for me.

I'm not quite sure what cosplay is. I know what you mean about the 'productive' life. I'm in college currently, too, and will be starting my second semester in January.

cosplay is Costume play, people dress up like characters (often ones from video games) and play the role of that character. There are large conventions and other such things.

Oh, ok. We have some groups around here that do that, but of medieval times. Some of it's cool, but some of them go a little overboard with it. Not bad stuff, though. Better than all of them being Davidians or something!

On the topic of medievil stuff, guess who got a large dagger for christmas?

Well, I go to school. For those who don't know me, which is all except for one of you. I'm NES-Luke's girlfriend. I am one of the select few girls who actually still likes gaming. It's one of the only things around for me to do. I also like to pass the time by playing guitar. My most favourite Nintendo game would most likely have to be Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES, or Final Fantasy 2 (US).

I've been a skateboarder for about 10 years, took SOME college as a Computer Science major, decided it wasn't my bag, and just switched to Commercial Art.

I'm a big computer hardware nerd, and I draw a lot. My girlfriend is going to college out of town for journalism, but she's in town quite a bit on breaks, so I still spend a lot of time with her.

I've been officially jobless for quite a while now, but make cash on the side doing house calls fixing people's computers.

That just about covers it. Making cash doing PC house calls allows for a schedule-less lifestyle, and a lot of my time is spent playing video games with my friends and having a couple beers.

Kinda big picture, so I won't directly link it:

I'm a university student (Japanese studies, Chinese studies and Theoretical linguistics... weird, eh? )

Except games I like to watch movies of all kinds. Many Japanese and Chinese ones.

I'm playing games for over 17 years now and I'm sure I will go on for many other years.

Wow man, you've been playing for as long as I've been alive

Thank you.
Yes, 17 years are a long time. I wonder what games we will play in 17 years.

I'm only 19, but I've been gaming for... well, 19 of it, I have photos of me playing Atari in a walker when I was a baby

I'll be 23 in a month, and have been playing for as long as I could hold a joystick as well. Weaned on my mom's Atari 2600.

That's cool, NES-Luke.
I can only beat that, when I count as videogaming...
My sister bought a game and watch when I was 5 (when I remember right), that's 20 years from now.
