Star Wars Episode 3

In Off-topic

Who is looking forward to seeing Starwars Ep.isode 3?

Me, me, meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
May 19th!!!

Oh yeah, I'm SO lookin' forward to it! It's my most anticipated movie ever! I can't wait to see some more Master Yoda battles, and now the Emperor is using a lightsaber too? Awesome! I eagerly await May 19th!

^^ Oh no! Now we now what happened to Z.E.Ns old avie!

Yoda rules.
Perhaps we get to see Yoda vs the Emperor... would be fine.

Or Obi-Wan kicking the Emperor's ass.

Meh, might aswell seen 1 and 2. I am probably tyhe only person who has actually been watching the Star Wars movies in order. Episode 1 was the first SW movie I ever saw and I already saw 2 aswell. 4-6 ... hmm

There is a guy who is already camping out. I really don't understand why you would camp out 2 months before it comes out.

And you know he's waiting for Star Wars?
... a bit very too soon in my opinion.

HAHAHAH!

Now that's dedication/stupidity for ya! Geez, how does he expect to do anything? This guy is apparently a bum.... (see other thread )

I'm just glad it comes out ont the same day for the whole world! *NO SPOILERS*

I'll be at the theater wearing my wookie costume!

And the Emperor is going to waste Obi-wan. Go Dark Side!

And the Emperor is going to waste Obi-wan. Go Dark Side!

Obi-Wan is still alive in Episode IV, so nothing too bad can happen.

Go, Luke Starkiller!

That is the problum with prequels you what happens

Yeah but that doesnt always make it a bad thing

Man it has felt like forvere since i saw number 2...
I still have my movie ticket lol!
I wish they would remake 4-6

I wish they would remake 4-6

They have... about 4 million times.

I wish they would remake 4-6

They have... about 4 million times.

Did they suck or something?!

I also still have my movie tickets from Episode 1 and 2, and also from the renewed Episode 4-6 from 1997.

And they should NEVER remake 4-6.

What I heard is that they plan to realize Episodes 7-9 as a TV series or something. I'd watch it.

Darth Vader does not cross his arms

I wonder if Count Dooku will make an appearance in . He put the hurt on Anakin in the last film.
But then, Yoda showed up...

I dont think i went to see number 1 in theaters... i was too young. Number 7-9... whom

too young in '99? are you 6 now?

not sure what that "whom" means, but I second it.

Whom!

Whom?? ... I'm okay with whom, but... ok. lol

Is there somebody who didn't know that there are Episodes 7-9?

Actually, I've always heard that they wanted to do a 7 - 9. I was under the assumption that they were using Timothy Zahn's series of books that had Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command as 7 - 9. That was of course, hear-say. I think it'd be pretty cool if they did that, though. I haven't had cable for MANY years, and I think I would get it back if I found out they were going to do that! ...whom

I wish Evil NES was still around

ah, hilarious!

he really didn't hang around too long, did he?

ah, hilarious!

he really didn't hang around too long, did he?

It's all my fault. I disrespected the "POWer Mullet".
It's a shame he missed out on the Karnov love.

...

*Steals manuel's "location"...
...sort of*

i think that its good what theve done coz i really wanted to know how anakin turned to vader and what the old republic was like

And if you do camp out you want to make sure you're outside the right cinema...

And if you do camp out you want to make sure you're outside the right cinema...

lol u got a point hes skrewed if its da wrong cimema. im a huge Star Wars fan n not even i camp out 2 months b4

we do get to see yoda and the emperor fight apparently its a really good fight ( not as good as the one with anakin and obi wan mind )

no there doing 7-9 as films ive seen the scripts for them episode 7 is supposed to b set 30 years after the battle of endor n i think they should remake the title screen for episode 4 so it all makes sence with the new films

Last night I was talking to my guitar player about this, and he seems to have seen George Lucas on

Another Indiana Jones film would be good. And episode three should be great *makes light sabre noises*

I'm also ok with a new Indie Jones. I love the trilogy.

I WAS psyched about Episode III, until Lucas described it "as 'Titanic' set in space. A real tearjerker."

Bleah.

Well, I was never a big Star Wars fan, but my friend is. I guess I'll go see it with him.

wooooooo it comes out this thursday hav u heard lucas aint makin 7,8 and 9

That I call a die-hard fan.

I won't go that far. I'm quite busy at university now, but I'll go to watch Ep.III on Monday 23rd around noon.

I went to see Lord of the Rings (the 1st one) at midnight of the first day.
It may sound stupid and only I feel so about it, but it's a cool feeling somehow to be the first. You just have to experience it.

I'm sure there will be a midnight showing.

I only heard of the title of that movie.

so what, has anyone seen it yet? is it worth 8 dollars?

It is worth 8$. Go and see it.

For those of you that haven't yet...

Saw it last night. I thought it was damn good. I didn't like the dialog between Patme (sp?) and Anikan. It seemed as if they weren't even trying to make what they were saying sound sincere. I rolled my eyes during the line "Anikan, You're breaking my heart."

Other than the bad acting between those 2, it was great. Explained everything for all the Star Wars idiots.

From what I've heard, the dialogue between those morons was better than in episode II.

"I like you... 'cause you're not like sand."

Smooth, Anikan. Real smooth. Anyway, it can't be as bad as my original expectation, which was that one third of the movie was going to be as follows;
"Anakin."
"Padme."
"Anakin?"
"Padme."
"Anakin!"
"Padme!"
"Why are you doing this?"
"Because I am angst-filled."
"Woe is me!"

Yes! good film! Better than the other two prequels. And it contained the best word ever - "younglings" and the asthmatic, hyper ventilating, 200 a day smoker robot (general something, he took over when Dooku was killed) was very cool

General Grievous.

Good thing this is the last movie, they're running out of adjectives.

Yeah, that's the guy/thing/legend

And what was with the robot with emphysema? And did anyone see all the zits on Padme's face they tried to cover up with makeup? You'd think Natalie could afford some of that Pro-Active solution P. Diddy and Jessica Simpson sell on infomercials!
Yoda is soo cute! He reminds me of Gizmo. Do you think he just totes around that cane to look gimpy to throw everyone off?
Anyway it was overall good. The 2+hours flew by!

Wow, just saw Maddox's article on the movie. Jeez, he's brutal.

I think he smokes crack.

You're not alone on that. Star Trek fans hate him, too. And goths. And feminists. And Republicans. And Democrats. And MTV fans. And vegetarians. And anybody else I can think of.

He's a dick, but I can't help but laugh... check out his article on "Trippin" with Cameron Diaz. No matter how much of an ass he is, he makes good points. (Along with many, many insults.)

I don't like that guy.

I'd like to see a movie HE directs and then see what other "critics" say about it.

Trash-talking something is one thing, but doing it better oneself is another. And I doubt he's able to do that.

Hrm... I think we might have the beginnings of a good debate topic. Maybe I should make a Maddox thread...

Then again, when it comes to Maddox, friendly 'debates' don't usually stay friendly...

Anyway, I finally saw Episode III, and I liked it. However, I must say that the dialogue between Padme and Anakin was actually dialogue, but it was far more horrendous than anything from the previous movie. What the hell was with the balcony scene?! Padme saying something about their love making her happy, Anakin saying something about his blind love... or did she say his love made him blind... and were they having an argument?

All I remember about that scene was just looking at the movie screen and thinking, "Are they on crack?! What the hell was about?!"

Only one more complaint, though. I now hate that Canadian guy that played Anakin even more, mainly because of the painfully awkward scene where he became Darth Vader. What should have been the coolest scene in the movie was just retarded. The guy actually manages to make voice sound whiny, and then stumbles off of the table like Frankenstein and yells, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

All in all, the clones kicked ass. The Emperor kicked ass. Yoda kicked ass. The digital effects kicked ass. The story kicked ass.

However, Obi Wan Kenobi suddenly forgot he had force POWers when he fought Grievous. Anakin was a whiny fag. As usual. Yoda's lines were overdone. lines were overdone. Couldn't they have just cut George Lucas out of the script writing?

---

And what's with these idiot right-wing republicans b*tching about the movie supposedly "criticizing George Bush"?!

I think James Earl Jones did the voice for Darth Vader in the suit. Not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure.

Before I saw the movie, a lot of people told me that Jones didn't do it. I didn't believe them (after all, Darth without Jones?! Blasphemy), but the voice definitely didn't seem as deep. Plus, it was whiny sounding.

Of course, if it was Jones' voice, I absolve him of any and all guilt, and blame everything on the lame lines. I can't be mad at James Earl Jones. He's too cool. He was in Conan the Barbarian, dammit.

Remember that this was years before Star Wars ep IV. He was still a young man. So his balls didn't quite drop yet.

Ha! I just watched that the other day Great flick.

Has anyone seen the fan films?

Star Wars Revelations is the current big one and it has great special effects.
