Buy Ninja Gaiden Black

In Ninja Gaiden

...

Super Metroid will beat this always! heheheheh

...

Yes sir right away sir just don't beat me sir

I didn't even know about this. I still want the original 'Ninja Gaiden' for X-Box but I might grab this one also (right after I buy an X-Box and win my free game of choice from Jesse of VGchat for being the "Arcade Champ of 2005" and claim 'Steel Battalion (complete)' as my prize).

Let's see... "disown" is the opposite of "own"...
Which means, you will not "own" me! Ha!

I also want to add that 'Castlevania: Symphony of the Night' came out the much inferior 'Super Metroid'.

BANG!

...

Castlevania>>>>>Metroid

...

My reason...

'Castlevania' handles platforming elements and action sequences a lot better than 'Metroid' IMO.
'Metroid' relies a bit too much on the "searching every nook-and-cranny, running back-and-forth through long corridors" game play.
'Symphony of the Night' has that kind of set-up too, but is a bit more logically constructed to where there's still plenty of exploration, but the main focus is still on the jumping/slashing action.

There's other reasons I prefer 'Castlevania' too - the enemies/boss fights, weapons, special abilities, soundtrack, art style, storyline - all seems much more interesting than 'Metroid' ("Super or otherwise).

Why?

Hehehehe... I couldn't help posting that. Anyway for the same reasons ZEN listed.

...

time to revive this thread.

After three months of looking at the game, and getting angry because of my terrible defeat each time I picked it up, I popped it back into the XBox.

Magically, I'm not dying every 4 seconds! this game is most excellent.

Anyone that doesn't have it is now required to sell non-vital organs on the black market to raise funds to aquire it, and an Xbox, if one isn't already owned. That, or you know, just use money you have...

Everything about the game is fast and exciting (though some of the wall jumping stuff gets a little annoying if you miss a bunch of times) Nothing beats the feeling of seeing a giant on the screen when you bust out your first 50 hit combo (and then immediately get you head chomped off by a fiend...).

Anyone who whines about games being too easy, hasn't played Ninja Gaiden. it's very challenging, and very awesome.

I'm scared of it. I've seen pictures of busted hands punched through CD containers.

it is hard, but it's not cheap. one of the few games in existance that's truly challenging because of good AI, and character design. not because of cheating AI, and poor level design. That helps me keep my cool, though I do have to stop playing sometimes

Seriously, everyone must own this game. Game of the Year? no. Game of the Century? most certainly.

Not yet, But I'll be going through it a second time. My ultimate Goal is to finish it on Master Ninja difficulty

'Ninja Gaiden' for XBOX is a great action game. The fighting is perhaps the most fine-tuned thing about the whole game.

I just wish the storyline would have been a bit more in-depth. It seemed kind of shallow compared to the earlier games from the series.
Definitely a must have for XBOX owners.

That's what I've been trying to say!

I hear you, and fully agree brotha!

This game has given me helluvah stress! There has been many a point where it got me fustrated and I had to leave it for a while before playing it again.
If you're looking for a challenge, get this game.

Well, I finally have, and I must say, the game is great so far! I've only made it to Tairon so far... those Ninja with the exploding shuriken are SERIOUSLY getting on my nerves though Hopefully I get a bit better... gotta love those nunchucks... just wish I could get to a save point before dying and having to start the entire level! This game has the hardest regular enemies I've EVER encountered!

Didn't I tell you?

Use the Lunar, "X X Y Y" I think was the combo that disposes of them the fastest.

...

Ha! Yes I did! What is an even better 'finally' though, is the fact that I beat Alma! That was one tough fight, I ended up using the Dragon Sword to beat her. Now I'm having to put up with those soldiers who like to impale and shoot you. I really didn't play much after the Alma battle, that was exhausting

Makes me want an xbox just for that game now! And id have to say..Paco, when they made Super Metroid they broke the mold of Metroid games cause that one will always be the best one.

Isn't NG Black the same as the first except all the problems are fixed/improved?

And the content from the hurricane packs is included, and two difficulties were added.

Wow. Talk about the quality of games these days going down. I liked it back when they made a game where all the problems were fixed before release. What was Tecmo thinking?

They were thinking that people complained about the camera, so they fixed it.

They were thinking "Hey, downloading these hurricane packs sucks" So they put 'em right on the disc.

They were thinking "This game is fucking hard" so they added an easier difficulty.

They were thinking "Some people really like to punish themselves" so they added a harder difficulty.

Never in history has a game been released perfectly. there are hundreds of glitch videos out there for older games too, only thing is, they're so simplistic there's no excuse for glitches.

Yeah, but you didn't see the three NG games for NES re-released. Well, except for Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for SNES but that sucked and didn't improve anything. Just admit that Tecmo lost what little greatness they had which was back in the late 80's, early 90's. Now they make perverted fighters and Volleyball games. Very classy.
