Xmas present from Nintendo for WiiConnect24 users?

In Modern Systems

Reading the entry on today, I thought to myself if you'll get something from Nintendo when you connect to Nintendo (with your Wii) on Christmas day.
In Animal Crossing on the DS you got furniture ore letters from Nintendo on special days.
Maybe Wii owners get something for Christmas!

I have some ideas, some more and some less probable.
Here's my guesses:

1) An email from Nintendo saying "Merry Chrisymas"
That's most likely going to happen, right?

2) Special Nintendo character Miis. Maybe you get an official Mii Mario or something along these lines. An official Miyamoto Mii would be cool, too, but more people know Mario, so that is likely to be the first choice.

3) A free VC game, e.g. Super Mario Bros. People who haven't downloaded a title yet because they aren't sure could get an incentive to buy more VC titles when they get one for free. Would be nice, although everybody already HAS to have SMB in some form.

4) 500 Wii points for free, so that you can download a VC game of your choice. Not very probable, but that would be nice. I wonder if people still would download SMB when they got 500 free points and owned already 3 copies of the game...

5) A free, newly designed, original VC game from Nintendo. I know that's the least probable scenario, but I guess it would be cool.
A short NES-style platform game, maybe starring Mario. 3 or 4 levels. Mario has to search candles and cookies and stuff to decorate a big Christmas tree. Something like Christmas Nights, only with Mario.

Oh man, I have such great ideas... Nintendo, please hire me!

What do you think of those ideas? Do they sound probable to you? Which one would you prefer?
Do you have other ideas yourself?
Please discuss and let me know your ideas, too.

Hopefully a free VC game or something. But I don't think they will send "Merry Christmas" out because of the amount of non-Christmas belivers...I dunno. I like the Christmas Mario idea the most!

But anyway who knows! Hopefully it will be something very cool! Dude you would so rock if you worked at Nintendo! I mean you have pretty good ideas.

Thanks.
Maybe I should really apply at Nintendo Japan... they sometimes even hire foreigners I heard...

If you get in please put in a good word for me! Thanks!

me too!

Xbox 360 owners have gotten two christmas gifts as of now, and there are rumours of another coming.

What were these gifts?
(Sorry I'm not so up-to-date with XBox stuff)

My wild guess is free MS points or Arcade games? Or dash board update? I am I close luke?

Bethesda is giving away the "Mehrunes Razor" expansion quest for Oblivion for free from Dec. 22nd to Dec. 31st. Volition released an add-on pack for Saint's Row that includes a Santa suit and a beard.

And probably more related to the release of the other consoles with the same feature, and decision making time, rather than the holidays, but MS has extended the warranty on all 360 consoles to one year, instead of the previous 90 days.

It must seem like I'm becoming a real Xbox fanboy, but everyone jumps behind a console after it comes out, and neither the Wii or PS3 have any good games as of yet. I want to like the Wii, but Nintendo has just made some bad decisions recently.

NES-Luke became XBox-Luke?
I'm ok with that.

With warranty Germany is even better. Everything has a minimum 2 year's warranty. (thanks to a not so bad law)

It's not that the Wii has NO good games. It has at least one. Zelda is quite good. I've played some hours and it's very fascinating. I was sceptic about the tacked-on control scheme, but it felt very good actually.
Wii Sports isn't that bad either. If you get the point you can do some pretty neat tricks and stuff in the various sports. It's not a AAA title, but very good for a pack in game.
Raving Rabbids is fun, too. Not great, but fun. Apart from that I haven't played other games, so I can't comment on that. But Zelda is surely worth it's money (or even a bit more).
If I were you I'd wait also. The Wii will become cheaper quickly I guess. And in about a year there should be more great games out. I also won't buy it now. I'll just use my sister's.

I still hope for a Nintendo christmas present and will go online on the Wii tomorrow...
