Anyone lucky enough to Pre-Order a Nintendo Wii?

In Modern Systems

Well, I deserve it. I kept putting it off and putting it off and now it looks like I'm going to miss the Wii launch (unless I want to fork out $699+ for the online only bundle). Just wondering if anyone got a pre-order in.

Also, anyone know what time exactly they are starting the online pre-order for EBGames and/or GameStop?

I have exactly enough money to get me to and from school for twenty days. No preordering for me, I'm afraid.

I wanted to, but I missed it because of the storm here. I'm planning on going to the store about 4-5 hours early with a friend to get one on launch so I can get a Wii. I really wish I preordred one...

Do you think that they will have any left or for sale without pre-order? Everywhere I've seen, it looks like they are sold out of the first shipment.

Gamestop and Ebgames are sold out of the first shippment, but places like Target, Bestbuy, and Walmart are not having preorders. Its done by a first come, first serve kind of thing. So I'm going to my Target very early on launch day to try to get myself one. To get one, you'd probably have to go atleast 3-5 hours early.

My sister wants to preorder one, but it seems the stores don't offer predorders yet. So she'll wait for a few days more.

But even if you don't get one at launch, it doesn't matter that much I guess. I mean, if you wait so long a few days more won't hurt. At least that's how I feel.

Off-Topic but a few Wal-Marts here took pre-orders. Most are just show up on Lanuch day. Today when I was at Wal-Mart they had a video talking about some Wii features. Anyways I would just wait until Lanuch day and see if you are lucky enough to get a system.

!!

And feck school man, if I had to spend my own money to go to school I'd more than likely run off into the mountains.

I didn't know that those stores are just selling them without pre-orders. I'll have to go there. Thanks.

Aha, but I need to save up to buy a bike. In order to save up, I need to stop spending money on bus fare. Which means walking for a while.

My dad pays for all of my classes and materials. I have a nice little guest house all to myself, and damned good food. Believe me, I've got no problem with paying a measly bus fare. It just means that until someone finally hires me, I'll be doing odd jobs and avoiding purchases for a while.

Besides, it's my own damned fault. Both times I've taken the driving test for my Oregon license, I've done perfectly the whole test and ended up getting Automatic Failures on my way BACK to the dmv.
