New game systems and collecting

In Modern Systems

I have noticed that most of my friends who have new game systems don't own too many games. They own maybe 2 and thats about it.

Like Xbox gamers only concentrate on Halo or MOH

Ps2 owners concentrate on GTA series

Are these the only games that appeal? Why spend alot of money on a system to play only one video game?

they're called "casual gamers" they go for sports games and what's popular

Bah. I have become a big PS collector. I've been scrounging the bargin bins at EB games for what ever complete games I can find.

i think i'd buy a gamecube just to play ssbm, then again there are a lot of other games i would play.

i think sports games dont offer enough challange.

I collect NES, and for the rest of my systems, i just get what the best games are for the system.

I noticed that some people don't hold on to games, they beat the game and then trade it in. I used to do this but not anymore. I remember trading in Star Wars KOTOR and wanting to play it again so I went out and bought it again.

I used to do that also beat Halo 2 and then trade it in wanted to play it again a week later.

Because games at $50 each can add up real quick too...

That's true, which is why I usually wait for second hand copies to become available, which is usually a couple of weeks after the game first comes out. Unless I want the game right away.
