What next gen system will you be getting?

In Modern Systems

What next gen system will you buy (or will you?). I plan on buying the Revolution. I plan on sticking with Nintendo .

Also, don't pick the last option because you will wait for the price drop. Pick the last option if you don't ever plan on buying a next gen console.

...

There's not a "wait for the price to drop and buy all of them used" option, which is probably what I'll do. I picked up my Xbox with 2 controller-s' and a couple games for $90. My wife bought me a PS2 new a couple years ago.

The next system I'm buying soon would be a gamecube.

Sorry. There isn't one. If you wait that long, it would be a couple years. I mean, the next gen systems might be 300 dollars. Thats a lot of money, and doubt they would drop down 210 dollars.

...

You would buy both of them the same day, and buy atleast one game for wach system, and a memory card? Which one would you buy first?

...

Of course the Revolution.

I'm a Nintendo fanboy and can't help it.

Well, I want the Xbox 360 the most, but with it's lack of a high capacity optical drive, I think I'll wait a while to see if they release a revision. it would suck to buy the thing, and then have to buy it again because I can't play any new games.

So I may end up with the Revolution first.

Hopefully i can weasel my parents into buying me the revolution for the christmas after the Revolution comes out.

Playstation 3!

i may get ps3 cause it will be backwards compatable

Almost certainly the Revolution, but probably not until a long while after launch.

I'll be getting a 360 cause I love Morrowind. If they do put the new HD DVD optical thing in that lukes talking about and then making games that are only compatible with those, I'll be a real pissed.

Definately the revolution and i'd end up getting an XBOX 360 at some point. The PS3 would be my last choice. But I won't get any until the price drops (unless my parents buy me an XBOX 360 for christmas hahaha )

Rev for sure; The other systems will depend on what games they'll offer.

Agreed completely. Thats what I did with this generation of systems coming to an end. I bought Gamecube because Nintendo rules, and then bought PS2, just for Bloodrayne 2.

I'll probably end up buying a revolution first and then buying a PS3 after the price goes down a bit.

Rev purely for the Nntendo factor and PS3 for everything else.

Xbox 360

I thought about it and probably I'll get the PS3 (after the Rev of course

Scratch out my answer, i wont be getting any of them! Im going to stay One generation behind. Get the gamecube games..

Ill probably be getting the ps3 just to try something new for once. Ive always gotten nintendo first when ever a new gen came out but this time gonna have to go with the ps3. The main reason id wanna get the Rev is to download the classics but you have NES ROMs for that purpose.

I wish i could have like 500-600 dollars to blow on games.

Personally, none of the systems have any absolute "gotta have em" games. I'm sure if I bought a system there'd eventually be a decent game library, but at this point all releases are purely speculation. I'm gonna wait a year to see how the companies pan out, then I'll pick the one best suited to my needs.

I'd really like a console that purely focused on 2D though...

i just read on that treasure is doing 2d games for the 360 , now i wasnt that at the moment.

I stuck between the Xbox 360 or the Rev. I might get the 360 first and buy Xbox games like Halo and Halo 2 at first. $60 bucks for a New Gen. game... thats alot more than Im really lookin' to spend.

i want a 360 now along with the REvolution. becasue the 360s getting TReasure games that are Side Scrolling!

i'm stickin with nintendo .......... even though those downloads are not free though

I heard the Rev is backwards compatiable with Gamecube games. Is this true?

if you mean "can it use gamecube games?"
then yes it can

I'm not sure what system I'll get. I guess it'll depend on the games, but I'm leaning towards the PS3, mainly because of the diverse variety of games that were available for the PS2.

Cool. I thought it was a rumour at first.
