Help with Fixing NES

In Hardware

OK, well I have been reading a lot of boards lately trying to figure out what is wrong with my NES. I just bought it off of E-Bay in "great working condition" which to the seller must have meant not working at all. I cleaned all the games I had and tested all of them, all i got was a light blue screen thats it. So I decided to buy a new 72 PIN because mine looked pretty beat up. Before I installed the New PIN I cleaned the motherboard connecting pins, then I installed it. After making sure all of my games were nice and clean (using isopropyl alcohol and Q-tips) I tested the unit thinking its gotta work but nope this time i get all the music to the games and a lot of picture but it is so jumbled u can't make it out and sometimes the music glitches out. But i can still kinda make out blocked figures and kinda play the game but not being able to see anything and then it freezes after a bit. I have no idea what can be causing my NES to not function, if anyone has suggestions or even knows how to help me fix it I would totally appreciate it, Thanks.

Just a while ago, my NES wasn't working very well. I posted a question, and some people said I should get a gamegenie. The reason it helps make the games work better it that on the gamegenie, there are tighter pins on it, and it reads the game better. If that doesn't work, something mite be wrong with the conector, like the AC adapter.

This may not help you, but sometimes when my games' graphics are screwing up and looking all glitched (but otherwise working), I pop in the game, and while its at the title screen, I barely nudge the cartridge, barely sliding it left and right, this sometimes then makes better contact and the graphics go good.

I then hit the reset button (in case some previous memory or something was corrupted, I'm paranoid) and start playing my game.
