anyone played the PSP yet?

In Handhelds

this might be old but I've been gone a while. so, has anyone tried this thing out? I might get one 'cus its a game system that can play music. games and music are my life. but I dunno. but yeah, if you have one or played on let me know if its worth the heavy bank roll.

i played one its not bad but one analog just aint right for somethin like that. and also what would u play?

if I got one my first game would be Metal Gear Acid and the prob. Midnight Club 3... and hopefully after that they come out with cool games for it. lol

Had a brief go on the PSP, and I'm not impressed by the games, but the hardware is very swish looking. Right up there with my Pocket PC. But I'm quite happy with my Pocket PC (for music and movies) and Nintendo DS combo (or GBA SP, depending. I take the SP if all I want to play is a gameboy game, since it's so much smaller.)

Generally speaking, I don't buy hardware on the promise of games to come (with the exception of Nintendo hardware, because the promise usually involves Zelda, Metroid and Mario Kart, and they've yet to let me down )

There seems to be alot of dead-pixel reports, and my friend had his for a total of two weeks, before his analog stick FELL OFF. Seems to be good for emulation, Vincent Vega Got one just for that!

The games arent that great, nothing really original. But it is good for movies and music on the go. Just like onegenerationtoolate said dead pixels are to be expected after a short time. I have had my Gameboy Color for probly 6 or 7 years and dont have a one dead pixel, PSP gets them in weeks, so do you buy sony or nintendo??

yeah, I heard about that. but with the one year warranties, wouldnt that be covered? if so, I'd just send it off and make 'em fix it. back when the PS2's first came out mine said disc read error 20 mins out of the box. I just packed it up, sent it to Sony in L.A. and they fixed it and that was it. thats the only prob. I've ever had out of Sony and they fixed it in about 2 or 2 1/2 weeks so I got no beef with 'em.

i think i read somewhere that a certain amount of dead pixels will only qualify you for warranty compensation, but i could be wrong.

Im just gunna go pick one up tomorrow and if it messes up, I'll just raise hell and be like "I own a Sony TV, VCR, DVD, PSone, PS2, laptop, and I've never had a prob. and NOW you act like this?!?!? Im a long standing client of Sony, How DARE you treat me like this!!!" and no, the only thing sony in my whole house is my PS2. lol, but I'll just nag and nag untill they do whatever it takes to shut me up. but thats only if theres a problem. I've never have any probs with 'em before so I dont see why it would start now.

So how do you like your PSP, Murderkillz?

I tried one in a store.
The design and screen are great, but until now there are not many games worth the buy.

??

you know, I got there at the store and was looking at it. and after about 45mins, I changed my mind compleatly. I just got an Ipod. it was cheaper and that and untill they come out with better games, Im just not really diggin' it like I was. the only game they have for it that I think I would like would be Metal Gear Acid. so...yeah. sorry for the hipe.
