PLEASE GIVE UR IDEAS FOR MY ROLE PLAYING GAME

In Games

i need new ideas from a new upcoming role playing game im making what would you like to see

That depends on what type of RPG your even making. If it has avatars and things like that i suggest a big lusish world with alot of sidequest and a very well thought out plot to go along with it. And have us choose a certain profession for a character (IE Knight,Wizard and so on). And alot of monster variety.

I think time Travel Not too like Chrono Trigger, and have what ninjaGaiden said .

Or make an Action RPG like LandStalker and have that a time based game where you find many many Items and have a shield , sword and stuff like that!

they could both be compiled i was thinking u could take up trades as builders and shop keepers what have u i dunno might b a bad idea i just thought like u cud progress being able to make customisable houses if trained in that field and downloading a side plugin in which u need to do it although id have to put it in the members world

Make unique characters. And by unique, I mean no wuss heroine healers! Or tough guy angst-filled protagonists.

Furthermore, do your best to make areas that are progressable. To me, there's noting worse in a game than "okay, I've killed verything within a five mile radius, I've explored the entire area thoroughly, and yet I still haven't found ."

And if you make puzzles, make them original. I'm sick of damned crate pushing in games.

Yeah, I'd like to have good unique puzzles.

Then a good old-style turn-based battle system.

Large worlds with lots of exploration.

Good enemies.

this is gunna take ages to make i have a 7 man team and only one other person is a programer the rest r webbies and designers

You can't start with a monster size perfectly designed RPG. That's unrealistic.

I'd say start with a small dungeon. Make one or two types of enemies and plave them in there.
Start with small things to get experience. Level yourself up first.

Yup like Manuel said. It basicly takes alot of time so just start small untill you all get the hang of it. Im sure youll be making RPGS that i want to buy

Don't make it about saving the world, too many RPG's have that as a theme. Howabout an RPG where the characters are evil and the go around wrong doing for personal gain.

My adVice to anyone who wants to make a great RPG is to go play '' and basically do everything that game did except...
NO RANDOM BATTLES!

Instead steal the battle system from ''.
And there you go.

Result = Perfect "Role Playing Game"

Yes! Suikoden II how could i forget about that wonderful game. Yes that game was damn near perfect. Great game.

Plotwise, I'd like to see an RPG with a ludicrous plotline. I made a (really)crummy RPG once. Didn't finish it, because there were barely any battles, and the entire game was go here, talk to this person, but I liked the plot, and I liked the characters. The plot was completely random, with a hefty amount of swearing, juvenile humor, and nods to Monty Python, as well as the dialogue from Zero Wing thrown in.

But if you got behind the swearing, drinking, and absolutely random plot twists, it had a fun story, about a bunch of guys just palling around and pretty much winging it through some pretty crazy stuff. The few people I showed it to thought it was a nice reprieve from the heavily serious RPGs of today.

If you could do something like that, AND make it an actually good game, you'd have a winner.

I persoanlly like the land scape in a game, thats truly imporant, and of course the effectiveness and nice looking POWered of magic moves. I could suggest characters with background storys or somthing if you wish.

Don't be too diffrent, be basic, keep a nice smooth animated battle system and a great story with A LOT of twists. If you have ever played Tales of Symphonia, you would know what I mean. Hide a lot of secrets from mysterious characters.

Guns or swords would be good. dont mix them together Final Fantasy guys might sue so keep it all your own but to get too carried away with it.
