Thanks Mr. DNA i found out that

1. Double Dragon = $3.00
2. Super Mario Bros. = $1.00
3. wrecking crew = $5.00
4. Rambo = $3.00
5. Life Force = $3.00

altogether i have $15.00

well... at least its more than $5.00 !!!!!!!!

Well if i were to give it a price, id probably say Rambo is worth 90 cents. Double Dragon would be worth 5 bucks.

Sentimental value, anyone?

Pf. Materialists.

Yes, sentimental value has ALOT to do with the games I have. I buy games that I love first and foremost... the games I played constantly when I was younger.

Metal Gear is a good one to compare for me. Also, Rambo...? Man, I used to play that game alot when I was younger, so it was important for me to get my hands on. I can't remember what I paid for it, but I'm sure it was more than .90 cents (not knocking you, NG). I think sentimental value is VERY important to most people, so if you think the games are worth what you pay, then you got a good deal. Even if it's outlandish in price to most people, you may be like, "What!?!, that's a GREAT price!"

Ah..... to be young again.

Agreed! I always have to pick up games that I played when I was littler (if thats a word ). Like M.C. Kids. I love that game. I bought it for 5 bucks. The guy looked at my weird when I was really happy to see that game, but I didn't care. I love that game.

Yeah I agree with Roth and Malon Forever, I had a Mickey Mouse Game for Genesis I think it is World of Illusion, And I want it sooooo badly right now, I played that back in '93 or '94 or '95. I was born in '91!
It is such an awesome game til this day I must have it!!!!

Nonstalgia is what got me into older gaming. I wasn't interested in older games until a few years back. You see, when I was little, my dad had an NES. When his friends would come over, they'd hang out outside for a while, have a barbeque or something, come in, watch football, then, when it was very late, they'd switch on the NES. I would watch him play. Now, he only had a few games, so mainly, the only games I had ever seen for the NES were Mario and Stealth. Then one day, he bought a new game, Scheherezade. It was the first RPG I had ever seen, and I was mezmerized. I had never seen anything like it.

Years later, none of us could remember the name of it. It would always bug us, and every once in a while we'd say something like, "hey, remember that one game dad would play? The Arabian one?" "Yeah. What was that?"

Then I started downloading ROMS, trying to find it. The ROMS were fun, and got me interested in NES Games again, but I couldn't remember the name. Then, recently, I came across NES Files, and while scrolling through the games section, saw Scheherezade. Now, strangely, I couldn't read back when my dad had it, but I knew Scheherezade was familiar. I looked at it, saw the box art and the memories came flooding back. Great feeling, I can tell you.

Just so you know Uber Newb, I have a copy of that I'd be more than willing to get rid of. I couldn't get into it myself. If you don't have a copy yet, feel free to PM me.

Anyhow, I do agree to an extent. Although I had the fortune of a dad with good taste in games, I still did get a few that most wouldn't like, such as Rollergames. After beating the game, I can understand why people wouldn't like it, but it's still one of my favorites, due to the sheer difficulty and crazy 80's music (final boss music is CRAZY!).

Nostalgia is a great thing. What i wouldnt give to have a nes Hooked up with all the old favorites.

Believe it or not, but that is what got me Hooked on nes collecting. Hunting down the games i rented as a kid, and finally getting my own copy. Then one day i got a game that i never rented, enjoyed it, and went on a quest to find out and get all the good NES Games.

sitting at 402 NES Games right now and i can honestly say that there is probably no more than 20 good games i still need... i spent the last few years acquiring all the goodies

No, but thanks. I got a copy of it at a garage sale, along with a lot of other games, and three other game consoles.

I keep most of the games I had as a kid, and my friends eventually sold me or gave me theirs, it's kinda cool to have the same cart you used to play like 13 years before, even if they are all beat up due to extensive use.
