2-D The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!!!!!

In Games

check it out! looks hot!

That sure looks interesting. I especially like that graphic style.
I think I should try to download that.

that looks great, I'm going to have to get a PC again...

from the screenshots it looks a lot better than that stupid "port" of the original Zelda to the PC. That thing just sucked.

I saw this for the first time the other day and can only say it looks amazing. Apparently he's been working on it for years so I don't know if he's anywhere near finishing. If those screenshots are anything to go by it should be worth the wait.

I heard he was also planning to do Majora's Mask and Wind Waker. Now that's ambition!

Wind Waker (my favourite) in 2D?
A huge project. I will follow that with interest.

I wouldn't get too excited just yet. If he did Majora's Mask first then Wind Waker Probably wouldn't be ready until about 2010!

I have time.
When it's up, I would take my old Cube and Wind Waker out of my shelf, give it a try and then look at the 2D thing.

when its finished ill definitly download it

yeah it probably will take a while to do them thought it cant be easy

Wow, cool project looks cool, let's see how long it takes!

exactly what i was thinking but its a really great idea!

I`m curious, how he gets all the "3D" passages done, where you climb around on trees or go through little tunnels. The world design in that new titles is so dofferent from the 3D titles.

Jumping and platform elements will be questionable as well.

Well, the jumping could be performed just like on the original Ocarina of Time. Just keep walking to the edge, and you automatically jump. I don't think that would be such a problem. I do hope he finds a way to make battles with enemies a bit like the original. The combat action in that game is what made me decide it was a great game, among other things. The battles were just fun. If he can capture that, it'll be a great conversion.

I also hope he will do fine, but I fear he can't capture the great athomosphere of these titles in 2D.
