In Emulators / NES ROMs

i heard the Japanese version is harder and slightly different but im been looking for it for ages and cant find it. Does anyone know where it i can find it?

Are the Japanese versions really harder, or just uses different language.

I think it's the same. I tried SMB3 on the Japanese Mario Collection and it was exactly the same as far as I can tell.
