Simple NES Storage Solution (Bare Carts)

In Collecting

The Sterilite 3 Drawer Cart (40cm x 57cm x 69cm) works great for me as far as bare carts go. They fit well and you can store 80 games in each drawer (240 total), a very simple solution for people wanting an easy way to store games. $20 at our local ShopKo, may be cheaper around your area, but this thing works great!

I found this with a quick google:
seems to be the cart, but for $10, I also saw it at ACE hardware for $45, but I don't think anyone would care about that

Actually thats a different version, the one i'm talking about is...

lol....
do they happen to have that in another color because white doesnt go with my room....

i got mine from walmart also. a 3 drawer and a 5 drawer. not sterrilite however, the brand is clear and simple

They sell carts like this one everywhere.
But most time the colors are annoying, as already stated

Sandwich Bags + Shoebox = cheaper and simpler storage.

thats all fine and dandy when you have few games, but when you have 700 +
games you dont want to have 100s of shoe boxes full of games

For a start you'd have to buy a hundred pairs of shoes to get the boxes! I think having a cabinet or chest of drawers dedicated to your collection is pretty cool. At the moment all my games are just stcked up in a cupboard.

People who have so much money to buy so many games can afford other storage methods.
I use bookshelves. I always want to have a look on my possesions.

...

Although I don't have games in my drawers, papers are floating around in my room. I have way too much stuff in my room. Need a bigger room, better, a house to put all my stuff properly (most of it are books and magazines, not games).

when me and my fiancee buy our own house have it be in America or Japan, we made a deal. she can do whatever she wants to the whole house, but one room will be all mine. so its gunna have all my games out to display them and books and big ass TV and other cool stuff. Movie posters so on. yeah... now she makes me put all my cool stuff in drawers...

Wy wife lets me put my game stuff where I want.
It's good that she's a gamer, too.

My mom lets me usually put it where I want it to go.

I have the same one that you found on Google. I use to keep my NES Games in it, but now I have a self.

I finally talked my way into getting my NES stuff out on shelves! I get to put out 2 systems, 4 controllers and all 41 games to show off! YAY 4 ME! ...I think its only 'cus she cleaned our bedroom up all clean and got rid of alot of crap... who cares. its my stuff, out where I can see it. I still have to keep my other 2 systems put up...

Note to single guys: dont heckle me 'cus my soon to be wife "makes" me do stuff. you'll learn real fast that for somethings, you just say "yes babe" and shut up. you gotta pick and choose your fights and nintendo would be a stupid fight.

My wife is cool about my games, she has a couple systems all her own.. we have a three bedroom house and we turned one room into a office/ toy collection room with games in there. but the lame part is her sytems are all in the livingroom, she has a alot of toys in the collection as well. and the third bedroom i converted into a recording studio. she really doesnt care what i do as long as i help keep the house clean. hell she even bought me two guitars for christmas without me being there and i didnt have to coach her on what i wanted. she just knew.. the key to a good marriage for me was finding a great girl with the same intrests as me..

hehehe well im sortoff whipped
my mom makes be pack up my ps2 into a rubbermain container and i pput i snes inside a box in my basement (where i play my console) and i have to have everything neetly packed up or i get grounded lol.

U know whats crazy ive had like 6 of those for games, for like 5 years.

i think thats crazy.

Can I heckle you because my girlfriend posts here, and suggested the shelf for our games?

Hahaha! I use two of those just for games alone and then some boxes/cases and I am still running out of room. Hell, my NES collection alone could easily fill two of the three drawers up on one of those, and does take up one and a half now even with some being stored outside of the plastic drawers.

And I am still getting more! I love my NES.

As I recall, two drawers holds about... 90 carts... Congraduration, you're just below the average number of carts owned by people on the forums...

Feel foolish for getting all braggy now?

Excuse my attitude, I'm just tired of bragging newbies...

Funny, my drawers hold a lot less than that. I can only hold 66 carts in a single drawer and that is with them literally as tight as I can get them in there. As for the total number of NES carts I have, I honestly do not know. I lost count after it hit 120 about a year ago. Counting higher than that just seemed pointless to me since every time I tried it I got a different number.

Go here if you want to see about 70-75% of my total collection.

The drawer I posted can hold 80 games per row. Which reminds me, just hit 200 yesterday I'd assume you're referring to the other drawer, but I figured I'd stick that somewheres. Now what to do for 240+...

man i have my stuff everywhere since i just moved back in with my parents so i have like drawers , shelves, entertainment stand under the comp. desk . i have ninyendo stuff everywhere

I have my games and consoles everywhere and she doesn't mind.
