Look @ this guy rip ppl off on ebay!

In Buy/Sell/Trade

Just read this crap! This is stuff you could do yourself for like, what? $5 or $6 bucks? This guy should be kicked off ebay and if he's on here and see's this GOOD!

I don't really see that he's doing anything wrong. He's just offering a serVice to people that don't want to or don't know how to do it themselves. If someone thinks it's worth $30 then that's up to them.

The ones who should be kicked off Ebay are those who try to sell NES ROMs for a profit.

I think it's a legitimate offer.
Why should he be banned from eBay??
As far as I know, repairing stuff isn't illegal. Is it? And if people are willing to pay 30$, then isn't it ok?

yeah but come on. its not a $30 job.

connectors can cost $10 or more, and he pays to half of the cost to ship it back, depending on methods, that could be another $10, so really, $10 profit is perfectly fine, considering he cleans the thing inside and out, replaces the connector, and guarantees his work.

"I'm talking a professional cleaning with my super secret security key required to open up all Nintendo games!"

It must be a joke. If it isn't, then anyone who would fall for that doesn't deserve a Nintendo. I can see it now...

CON MAN: "Hello, I'm a magical genie. For only 29.99, I can magically clean your Nintendo with my super secret security key! Also, I know this deposed Nigerian dictator that needs help transferring his millions, if you're interested."

IDIOT: "Whoa whoa whoa, hold on; you need to clean Nintendos?! That explains why it doesn't work! I mean, I kept kicking it but THAT didn't do anything, so I just gave up! Yes I WILL send you 29.99, and tell that dictator to call me! Thank you, mysterious stranger!"

CON MAN: "Anytme, citizen!"

But actually, if it wasn't for that, it sounds like a good deal.

this is right off that page I posted:
"1. Use 'Buy it Now', which includes the replacement part and labor, for a fee of $29.99.

2. Customer pays to ship it to me. I pay half the shipping to send it back!

3. Do your games need to be cleaned? It is very important that you have clean games as well as the new connector to ensure that your system continues to work 'like new'. For an extra $2 per game, I will take apart the games and give a good cleaning. Just send them with the system. I'm talking a professional cleaning with my super secret security key required to open up all Nintendo games!"

$2 bucks for ONE game. I guess he shouldnt get kicked off ebay but I personally would NEVER do anything like what this guy is talkin' about. But I guess some ppl have that kind of money to give away. lets say some one had a system and 7 games. that would be about $44 bucks NOT counting the shipping, just for this guy to do anything. so we're talkin' with shipping there and half back about $55-$60 bucks. for that price you can buy a system with 2 or 3 games off ebay if you know how to look stuff up right. sometimes someone will make a misstake and post a NES system with games under "Accessories" instead of "systems".

And how much did the games originally cost? Two dollars per game isn't THAT extravagant. However, you do have a point. This ad is aimed at idiots with extra money who probably treated the console like sh*t to begin with. Probably why they need to send it to someone else for cleaning. "But I just cleaned it last year..."

lol. gotta love the sarcasm.

yeah, people don't take care of their nintendos.

I don't think its BAD, but you could do it yourself. Also, not all people who need their NES repaired treated it like ****. I may need a new 72 pin connector soon, but I treated mine great. Its just old. Also, I don't trust myself to open my NES. If I break it, I would not be able to get one, until the end of this year. I have an older NES somewhere that is very beat up (it was my brothers...I think). If I find it, I would open that up, and practice, but I don't know where it is.

I think anyone who sends things to get repaired to some average joe over the internet period would have to be a little crazy to do so.

Why do you all complain? Somebody is offering a serVice and it's up to you to use it or not. No?
He is taking his TIME to clean and repair stuff. Remember? TIME is MONEY. SerVice costs and can't be for free. That's how the economy works.
When there are people willing to pay that sum, then isn't it ok?
Nobody forces you to call on that guy's serVices.

That's jokes, so you can win his help in fixing your system? And cleaning your games?

I agree with Manuel. Also, I think if he gets a game, that he can't get working, I wonder if he just gives you a different copy of the game that works.

Good point. However, really, how could I make a crack about the "super secret security key"? THAT'S what bugged me. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be as critical. I mean, jeez. Talk about an eyebrow-raiser.

Super secret security? What a nice alliteration.

I mean, that guy wants to sell his serVice. There are still people out there who just don't know what game bits are, so he explains it in words everybody understands.

Just look at other auctions. EVERY (nearly) NES game is RARE. EvenSMB/Duckhunt

Yeah, I have a super rare "game cartridge" for the "Nintendo Entertainment System" by the name of "Tetris". I estimate it to be worth five hundred dollars.

well i believe that guy is crazy only someone that doesnt know about games would do that cause it is very easy to take your nes apaprt and put a new 72 pin in it you just got to make sure you have it in right or you will be getting a grey or discolored screen on anything you try to play and 2 bucks for cleaning a nes game thats crazy you could go buy the special tool needed to take it apart for about 10..................

I believe $30 is not a bad price. I mean he IS buying the 72 pin connection and installing it and for people who dont even know how to take the case off their NES that is a good deal.
